At least the mystery is over. Someone needs to edit the title of this thread with a "The search is done. It's over."

Not a conspiracy enthusiast, but it's possible to rip off a part of a grounded plane and dump it in the ocean.

I read a few days ago that there was actually two workers who cleaned the beach everyday who have seen things wash up like luggage and actual plane seats within the last 6 months. The two didn't think anything of it and did what he does with the trash he picks up.....burned them.

How did they confirm?

I can't see a flap, aileron, etc., being a serially controlled item.

We still don't know how that wing got from Pakistan to Reunion Island.

Investigation: Locals are claiming to have found more pieces of the MH370 flight in the Maldives (circled). The distance between Reunion and the Maldives is 2,000 miles. A two-metre-long section of wreckage was discovered on the island of La Reunion (left), east of Madagascar, more than 3,800 miles away from where the aircraft was last seen, north of Kuala Lumpur and some 3,000 miles from the search area west of Australia

Where did some islanders claim they saw a low flying plane?

Chicken, Maldives fishermen reported a low flying plane but authorities discounted their report almost immediately.

Maldives fishermen report low flying jet plane morning of disappearance

However, if you look at the search area, the Maldives, and Reunion...they all are located on the ocean current which means the original search area or the Maldives or anywhere between could have been the site of the crash.

Yes. Seems like they need to search between the Maldives and reunion island.

Why didn't authorities at least send a small team to the Maldives immediately after they heard reports from Maldives fishermen of a low flying jet plane?

ETA: However, the plane could've went down somewhere near the original search zone and the debris is just now making its way to Reunion due to the ocean currents. We must assume that Maldives fishermen are untrustworthy fools who either 1) were hallucinating after eating bad sea urchins, or 2) fabricated the low flying jet plane story for personal gain.
