Someone sent our office breakfast this morning. Huge trays of eggs, bacon, grits, biscuits, and gravy. I’d say over half of it was thrown away because it wasn’t eaten. Me, I rarely eat it because I’ve already eaten breakfast or have lunch plans. Exception is doughnuts because I’m a fat arse and love doughnuts.

Every place I’ve worked has been similar. Last month it was a bunch of Chick FIL A chicken biscuits. In neither scenario we’re we given a heads up this food was being sent to us. Seems awfully wasteful.

Well who doesn't love donuts.

I mean yea, its a little wasteful, but don't lie, everyone secretly loves when food shows up at the office. Its like little vultures.

Tell me you work with a bunch of douchebags and phonies without telling me you work with a bunch of douchebags and phonies.

Next time, fill up your lunchbox and you’ll already have supper.

Nothing. The minute the mass email alerting everyone that there is food from a vendor goes out its like a pack of hungry hyenas descending upon a sick gazelle.

And whatever bones are left (usually cookies or the rando jug of iced tea) usually get consumed the next day.

Usually all of the biscuits from the chik fil a chicken minis. once the vendor leaves somebody goes and picks out all the chicken. Haven't caught them yet.

Maybe, but I think whoever sent it grossly overestimated how many people work here. It was a ton of food. I’d guess 200 biscuits and we only have about 50 employees here.

Our guys in production got Bojangles biscuits for something this morning. I noticed there were several left in there around 10. Was thinking about grabbing one for lunch, but that shite was wiped out by then.

I’m a big proponent on good food gets orders.
Walk in with a tray of fresh BLT’s I can guarantee you walk out with a purchase order.

Would have destroyed and skipped lunch and/or dinner as necessary.

I do miss when vendors came for quarterly reviews or whatever. Cowboy ribeyes all day. Now I just eat what’s in the pantry

Usually nothing gets wasted here. If someone brings Chick Fil A and I've already eaten breakfast, I will either a) eat the biscuit anyway, or b) put it in the fridge for the next day. Same thing with lunch items

A few new restaurants that were celebrating their openings sent food to the lie-berry when I worked there a couple of times

But the manager was a rule follower and she would always deny it
