Montavious Landfair

Not the name of someone I'd want to meet up with packing a wallet full of cash....
I don't need a used 4 wheeler that bad...

According to Holmes County Sheriff's Department, Montavious Landfair is wanted in the death of Kyle Craig, a resident of Ocean Springs.

According to media reports, Craig traveled to Holmes County to purchase a 4-wheeler. His body was found with multiple gunshot wounds. A juvenile has been arrested in this case and according to reports, more could be charged as accessories.

Okay irrational fear mongers take over: "That's why I will never use..... I'm not going to be killed."

Even though the chance of death is higher driving to Walmart to buy whatever new.

Always always always do these sorts of things in very public locations.

Eh, it’s not really irrational to be smart.

I don’t care if it makes me “racist”, if I buy or sell anything on Facebook marketplace I won’t message back anytime who’s profile is black and/or trashy af. It’s just not worth the risk

With a strap and backup.

I believe most police departments encourage doing these deals in their parking lots.

These people are so fricking dumb that in 2021 they still don’t think that meeting up online can be tracked directly to them.

I'll take my chances of driving to Wal-Mart over meeting up with Montavious in a sketchy location with a bunch of cash.

I'm always strapped when I go to a marketplace sale. I always keep them in front of me until I can see what I'm dealing with.

One and only time I did sell some furniture to a black dude and it was an awful experience.

Dude showed up smelling like pot blaring rap music in my driveway, starts loading up the furniture into his truck immediately and then after it’s loaded tells me he forgot his cash and asked if I used cash app (which I didn’t)

So I download it while he calls his wife in the driveway and tells her to send me the money. I see a notification got through and it was only half of what it was supposed to be but he was already in the truck and I was tired of listening to his shite music.

Never again, I feel bad for stereotyping but just not worth the headache

I would suggest not meeting someone that looks like Latavious with large amounts of cash.

I found out my GF was selling some old purses via FB marketplace. I put a stop to that quickly. She had some more that she wanted to sell so "We" sold them and in a much more public place.

Be safe if you use marketplace. Plenty of bad deals go down just like with Craig's list.

I'm glad to hear they have a suspect. Saw this in the news when it happened. Just awful.
