Violence at bodegas in New York City has seen a very sudden spike in the last week. Five bodegas in the Bronx were robbed since last Wednesday, and store owners say they're fed up.

"This is crazy!" said Francisco Marte, founder of the Small Business and Bodega Association. "This is something that is out of control."

Marte said more police are needed, including a return of stop and frisk, and says District Attorneys need to crack down on crime.

Stop and frisk

-where conservatives cheer and root on a huge government infringement of basic rights, and liberals fight to keep government away

The reality is that we've allowed our country to fill up with folks that won't control themselves, and thus we're left in a position to infringe on some of our core beliefs or subject the country to lawlessness.

There is a third option, where citizens handle this themselves, but there too we're at an impasse. Those doing the misconduct have little to lose and the support of the ruling class. Those who might otherwise return the country to civility have a lot to lose and the ire of the ruling class, which has shown a willingness to punish those who step up.

Purposely. It creates the need for more government. Government then becomes parent, advisor, banker, provider.

Supporting stop and frisk and calling yourself a conservative is the most hypocritical thing I can ever imagine

Imagine arguing about gun rights but supporting taking away the most basic constitutional freedom

Its fricking amazing how similar republicans and democrats really are

A little fear and instant support of more government and the theft of constitutional rights.

It’s beautiful

I'm not happy about the bind we're in. That said, way too many people conflate classical liberalism and conservatism on this board.

It is a conservative point. Its very much a conservative point. Its not a libertarian point. Conservatives are not libertarians. Conservatives have always supported pro active policing. I don't know what rock you live under.

No wonder this country is fricked. People are just dumb.

What are you talking about?

the NY guy is the one who is trying to bring it back. He's probably tired of getting robbed, but instead of asking the police to protect you, he just needs to pop them in the head and it should take care of itself.

Enforcing basic laws regarding theft and assault would be a gigantic first step, but the people that control these major cities don't want to do that because they're a bunch of cowards who are afraid of a bunch of retards on Twitter and in the media.

It's actually stop, question and frisk. It leftists conveniently leave out the question part to make it seem like cops are just jamming up blacks for no reason.

Some of the keys to conservatism in American politics is individual liberties, reduction of government, states rights, etc

Stop and frisk is blatantly against conservative and libertarian values

To argue otherwise is “dumb”

Facts.

The willing obfuscation of the CJ scene by the left has created a situation where people feel entitled to commit crime, and others are terrified to do anything about it.

We've reached a point to where common sense cannot prevail.

Correct. It’s the only step. We don’t make or bring back blantantly u constitutional laws.

Liberals have created a festering anarchy in their cities. It’s their mess to fix

Conservatives traditionally have always supported proactive policing. Libertarians and liberals did not. There are no more liberals.

Conservatives believe in individualism over collectivism, not individual liberty.

Youd think the Pot vote over the last 60 years would have given you some kind of clue.
