Best description I’ve ever heard of New Orleans is the most northern city of the Caribbean.

The best thing about NOLA is how near it is to America.

No , but I’ve been driving for 60 years and have never come anywhere even close to hitting even a single (much less two) pedestrians with a
vehicle.

And by the way, “That’s a man”.

I've met women like this in my life. The physiognomy is like part of a milieu of female Napolean complex.

They are typically ego-maniacs that hate men. Not nice people.

That's the most New Orleans news headline I've ever seen.

And many seem to really care that she’s not hot. Really strange. She inherited a situation that was completely fricked and came in and made real results. I’ll admit that I was skeptical at first, but she hasn’t been bad at all.

The OT eats up anything they can perceive as negative NOLA news, especially OP who just exaggerates everything. Nobody actually cares that the police chief was in a wreck.

She’s done a pretty good job in her short time here.

It would appear crime is improving, but I don't believe it, nor do most people.

Victims just aren't calling, and it is very doubtful cops are reporting.

We'd all like to think things are getting better, but anecdotal evidence suggests otherwise.

Agreed

The crime in Nola is remarkably improved under her leadership. It cannot be denied.

If I had to guess, this accident is the fault of the pedestrians

They probably stepped out in front of her and gave her the look. They lost.

Been saying this for years. It's a semi-failed latin-caribbean city-state on an island in the swap owned by the USA.

In the short term we have seen a lot of state and federal arrests, and the local jail is above capacity at the moment with the round ups and lessening of catch and release

Anecdotally we should be fast improving if there’s a real push to get the 100-200 most dangerous off the streets (and successes in it).

Where that goes from here is another question. Prosecution and sentencing etc…. Is the next benchmark in effecting change in the city

Yeah I'm withholding judgement on her, people jaywalk and shite all the time in that city like they're immune to cars or something.
