Listen transplant- we get it you moved to New Orleans after college, you're a hardass, you're from Lafayette so you're basically a local and know all there is to know about about the city.

GFY

You don't know shite about me

Anybody that knows anything about New Orleans isn't worried about this stupid shite

You're scared, and that's fine. You and your girl can cry about it at night when y'all are talking about y'all's feelings, just stop trying to scare everyone else who don't know any better

No, you didn't

It's not a hardass mentality, it's the facts. Pointing out that these idiots are spreading fear that isn't warranted is just saying what it is. These people have no idea what they're talking about, and are constantly in here warning people of something they know nothing about

You're the tough guy

Bizarre.

Dude, the tourism industry is of the biggest, if not the biggest bread and butter for New Orleans and you have thugs everywhere now attacking, robbing and killing tourists thereby discouraging tourists from coming to your city and you want to talk shite to prospective tourists that had expressed interest in visiting your city and bring their dollars with them because they don't like the crime they're seeing down there?

The city is exactly the same as it has always been, the only thing that has changed is your perception.

The first step to recovery for the City of New Orleans is getting rid of apologists like you that are still living in denial and refuse to admit that New Orleans has a massive and catastrophic crime problem.

I do it nearly nightly. I know another poster that lives in the area that walks one or both of those streets every single day as well and she hasn't experienced any issues either fwiw

I was scared to walk from the Saulet to convention center a couple of weeks ago. That's not the way it's supposed to be!

I can't even enjoy my walk to Madigan's anymore!!!

Don't waste your time man, they read somewhere that New Orleans is a war zone right now and tigerdroppings confirmed it for them. Can't look out your door without getting your head blown off in Nola these days

probably not... probably not smart for any female anywhere to walk any sort of distance alone at 3am

Although I do it regularly at 3am, have had ZERO issues. Have walked Canal, fq, Marigny, CBD, garden district, central city, all in the last week after dark at least once.
