YouTube launches ads from the same servers as their content. It’s not that easy to Adblock YouTube.

I never see ads on my phone or computer with adblocker? Really not sure the last time I seen an ad.

Got in at 12 a month. Use YouTube the most out of all my apps. I have an iphone, and without Red you can't leave the YouTube app and still have it playing music/video. With Red, I have youtube on all day while I'm on my phone, driving, working etc. I pay for no other subscriptions, not Netflix not Hulu.

You see an ad if you're watching a monetized video. They can't be blocked simply by the way youtube works.

It's like saying your adblock browser software can block ads from an ESPN or Sling stream if you're watching it in a browser.

You may block the ads imbedded in the code around the streaming screen, but you're not blocking anything in the stream itself.

I pay for it and will gladly keep paying. After having it for a couple years now, I will never go back to ads.
YouTubeTV is awesome as well

But to be fair, I have a ton of useless subscriptions. Like TD Premium.
I need to go around and cancel a bunch of shite.

Don't see how we're not on the same page. I see no ad's before videos play or anytime during a video.

Edit: I just tested it without adblock on and it had 1 of 2 ads playing before the video even started. Turn it back on, no ads.

I don’t think so. I’ve had it for 2 years and watch everything on YouTube. I see ZERO ads.

I paid for it during football season so I could get college FB. Once it ended, so did the subscription.

The only time I paid for it was so I could watch cobra Kai. Before it was on Netflix, it was on YouTube premium s few years ago.

It might be the best $16 I spend all month. frick, just getting rid of having to say no I’m not interested in premium is worth it. My time, and ability to instantly gratify is more valuable than that.

How much would you be paid to watch commercials. Would you get paid by a service that pays you $.25-$.50 a minute to watch ads? If no, then it’s worth the money to not have to watch them.

$.50 a day. So if you watch 1 video a day that’s at least 1 min. Is your time not worth $30 an hour. 2 min a day and no premium means your time is not worth $15...

I pay $10 a month. I’m so used to not seeing ads that when I do surf YT at work and don’t sign in, the ads drive me insane. 5 ads on a 3 minute video. frick that shite.

Plus the YT Music app you have access to is fantastic. It’s like getting Spotify and Apple Music for free, because I only bought premium to get rid of the ads.

I was considering it to do other shite on my phone while listening to The Yak but was expecting to see $4.99 per month. There’s absolutely no way this shite is worth $15.99/month. That’s HBO Max type money.
I do. I paid 15.99 for Play Music family plan for years which came with Youtube Premium attached. Music is now Youtube Music, but still get Premium for free.
