I bought a 2018 Titan XD last August and have been very pleased. Very roomy and the towing capacity is great. Havent had any problems. Probably going to a Ram Rebel on the next one though

The Frontier is the size of a full sized truck from the 90/00's.

Make an actual small pickup like the early 90's S10 with the 4.3V6. That truck was fricking awesome.

But why
S10 205”x68”W
95 f150 216”(avg)x80”W top L is 235”
22’ f150 230”(avg)x84”W top L is 250”
22’ Fromtier 215”x73”W

Within 10” in length and 5” width on s10. Not really a big difference

This is pretty surprising to me. I knew Ford and Chevy were the top 2 in sales, but figured Toyota would be 3rd. I see a lot of Tundras on a daily basis, but hardly ever see Rams. No way I'd have ever thought Ford and GM were outselling Tundra's by a 6 or 7 to 1 margin.

RAM will always give you several thousand off of sticker (at least before COVID, don't know about now), and they will buy just about anyone. I bet the average credit score of the ram buyer is below 650

ETA: just checked local Dodge dealer and they are selling at a discount before incentives

I have zero brand loyalty and consequently have owned all 5 brands of full size truck. If I were forced to only have one available to me, it would be a Titan. I have no problem saying the Titan was the best overall truck based on my experience. It really illustrates how marketing and good ol boy comments can influence the American public. We as a country have a lot of idiots, and our decisions reflect that.

Not if you combine GMC and Chevrolet they don’t

So F150 doesn’t have incentives? I ordered a 22’ Tremor about 9k under msrp with x plan (super easy to get) and negotiated. Turned it down because I liked my Ram better. Both good trucks just had a preference

And about the credit score….. you telling me all those baws at the plant have a substantial credit score and get those f250s?!?!

It is a very regional thing. Around here it's a pretty even mix between the top three. I rarely see a Tundra.

I have an 06 Titan and was considering a new one but decided to hold off for now to let the market calm down. It's a solid truck. Definitely a gas guzzler though.

Have you ever driven a 1993'ish S10?

They were fun as hell and could still haul shite. That's why! I don't need a truck that's the size of an RV.

I think there is a stigma with the unibody design. It's not manly to buy a unibody truck.

I don't get this one. I've been driving my wife's Rav 4 and I don't feel any less manly than when I'm in my truck. I guess I've never viewed my vehicle as part of my personality.

Agree - although my husband had an ‘88 S10 but that’s the perfect size truck to get things done

But they are ok trucks. I always liked the Cummins in them.

I currently have one with the Cummins, and I love it. Great truck that gets great mpg. Towing is impressive, and the only issue I’ve had is the factory shocks. So I did what i always do with my trucks, I bought bilstein 5100’s. I have an unlimited mileage warranty on the power train of this truck, so I am not sure how that will be handled if/when it’s needed. Not my problem though.

I have a 2017 4x4. Never been to a shop for anything. MPG not good when towing but it can pull a house. There a reason the warranty is longer than any other truck.
