They need to showcase a cart that doesn't pull to the right.

Walmart isn't dying yet. They are building 2 locations simultaneously for Gentilly and NOE.

Seriously though, the question is are they keeping up with competitors, re: Internet, mobile shopping, etc.

You can thank minimum wage laws for that.

No I can't.
Come on. They are the largest company in the US, they pad their bottom line by fricking workers over. Sorry, I don't think allowing them to further frick over workers would solve the issue. It's all greed.

It looks like the concept cars that you never actually see make it to production.

Wqal-Mart is always packed. I shop only at Rouse's for food and Target, Costco and etc for other stuff. But occasionally I need some dog food, a dryer cord a pack of cokes and a pack of socks. Where else can I get all of that?

If only they didn't have that conscripted workforce, the playing field would be level... Oh, wait.

They should replace them with the self checkouts. I actually have started shopping at walmart again because of them.

I wonder what the loss is for self checkout vs regular check-out.

That seems like the only reason why they wouldn't be primarily all self-checkout at most places.

Self checkout is a bit of a hassle though if you have quite a few items. The scanners are a bit testy.

You're to dumb to be a cashier at Wal-Mart. How are your greeting skills?

Self checkout works fine when you have a few items all with pre-determined prices. But it all falls apart when you have to input a product code for stuff priced by the pound and such.

And don't even get me started with the weight plate that must feel like you have placed your item in the bag. That thing is terrible. Eliminate that and I would use self checkout twice as much.

Wal-Mart basically exports the cost of healthcare to the government, which, in turn, is us.
