New Orleans Metro Area Cell Service (Verizon vs. ATT)

I have Verizon and it seems great (I had sprint before and its way better). I got a call from ATT and they want me to switch cell phones to them for a $35 a month discount plus a new phone and $500 gift card.
Has anyone been in a position to compare ATT vs. Verizon for New Orleans area service? How do they compare? I'm talking about cell service, not customer service.
