I remember when the beltway sniper made news headlines across the country. There were news conferences by the police daily. This is happening on the same highway, and there is no scrutiny on the issue. Are there even news conferences on this by the mayor's office and the police chief? I would hope so. The news just reports another homicide in a monotone voice.
"And that's Naturally Nawlins"
Any protests on this issue?

It's like Beirut in the 80s... without the friendly falafel street vendors.
Or intruder air strikes

That’s not a great area to be around at 3AM - were they innocent victims?
However, it is interesting bc the older guy from Canada (I think) that went missing in December- disappeared in that area - makes you wonder if there is a serial killer around there - even though he went missing during the day

Committing a murder on the interstate is pretty smart. Car is likely stolen, limited eye witnesses, almost impossible to ID shooter, easy get away. Last but not least there are zero cops on the interstate in New Orleans.

I've been on that stretch many times at 3am. There isn't a soul around.

Did that walking tour guy from last week ever turn up?
It’s crazy because NOLA is so fricking violent it’s hard to tell if a serial killer is at work

We have a friend who has lived three blocks from Loyola for thirty years.
He's had his car and van stolen, but the farthest either was driven was five blocks before they broke down.
Now he and his vehicles are three decades older. His van is still stick shift as is the car. I'm not sure any has any value at all, not that stick shifts are target vehicles nowadays.

And started their spree in Baton Rouge.
