I had a few cases with him when he was an ADA. He was probably one of the nicest guys I've ever met. I guess you never know when it's your time to go.

Apparently he lost his dad early. I wonder if it was heart-related and just unlucky generics.
His dad died at the same age of a massive heart attack.

Now I do not know what they're going to do long-term. I presume a special election will be called at some point this year.

I’m hearing Stacy Cassidy Naquin will run.

He has 3 kids I think. Definitely younger ones. During Covid I ran into them at Home Depot b/c we were both on house-fixing duty.

You probably think Grant parish is so much better.

I'm surprised Michael Cassidy didn't seek re-election, as he normally ran unopposed. I still remember getting banned from the 2nd floor of the courthouse because I found several illegal transactions on his credit card during an audit, and to him I was an FBI informant sent to discredit him. Dude, I was a fresh out of college accountant doing my job. Because you thought the Final 4 in Indy was a "business" expense for a hick local DA. Real piece of work this guy. I was told by my boss at the time, "don't ever speed in this parish. This guy will throw the book at you for looking at someone funny after this."

I remember doing Milican's tax returns, but never met the guy. RIP...he was probably a better human being than Michael Cassidy.

What I think doesn't fricking matter....it's the liberal media and liberal politicians. They have a list and I guarantee you Jefferson Davis Parish in on that list.

Not necessarily depending on the reason for the visit. What if it was an eye doctor doing something where he needed a ride back? Not odd at all.

He was probably going to do a lot to improve all the issues with JDP. I assume he was in line to possibly be the judge. It would be real hard to beat him in any parish-wide election because he was so respected and liked. That's why nobody ran against him for DA.

The good die young. Seems my wifes sister dated him for a bit long, long, long ago.

His son is a Sr. in HS. They were meeting with an orthopedic surgeon to decide if they were going to do surgery on his shoulder.

That’s like compounded sadness, for his family and also the whole community and parish and the general sense of things really.

And why does it always seem it’s the good guys that pass young? Perception bias I guess.

Yes, very sad. I had heard he had COVID late last year or early this year. Not sure if that was related to his passing.

Then why mention it?
