I had been watching it every night and stopped last week.

Thanks a lot Dave. You actually did make money off of it, your fault for taking money up front and not negotiating royalties.

Now we can’t watch your show.

It’s the only reason this happened

He stated that the reason he wanted it taken down was because, "It wasn't right."

By "it" he meant that a streaming/tv service was showing his old show and he wasn't getting any (or as much as he would like) money from it. The wise OweO said you can watch his show all over YouTube. I haven't checked, and I may be a fool to do so, but I will take his word for it.

His show is up on other platforms to view, for free, any time you want. That, by definition, is worse than his beef with Netflix, and actually negatively impacts a hell of a lot more people. Yet, because Chapelle knows he has Netflix by the short and curlies, he flexed his muscle and had his show taken down, even though he has no legal standing to do so nor any contractual argument.

He's a hypocrite if his show is still up elsewhere, and that makes this a real bitch move. What makes it even worse is that he could have very well used this issue and his clout for the betterment of the entire comedy industry. He didn't choose to do that.

Dave Chapelle is never happy for long anywhere. Seems like he always finds some reason to exit out

Its on HBO Max, buy their package if you so choose.

He didnt have a beef with Netflix. He asked if they would take it down. They obliged being they have a partnership.

Not its not because MJ has no contract with ESPN and no leverage on them. While it might be unfortunate, for Netflix its just the cost of doing business with Dave right now

You missed the last dance huh? You should check it out.

Yea... I built a deck for a neighbor and then told them I was displeased they didn't invite me over to chill on it.

Sure they paid me for my services and i provided it... but is that right for them to use my paid for services for their owm gain?
