Boulevard de province

Every time I see this I crack up a little. I dated a girl in college and we lived on the Blvd. 24 year years later during the great Biblical flood of BR, I paddled a kayak down the Blvd and rescued a dog off the back of a toilet that had been locked in a bathroom for days.

If you’re thinking of moving to Ratchet City you need more help than the OT can provide.

225 has some ok areas but everything is on the decline. You’re jumping into the stock market at the peak of a high run. Unless you have 20-30 years to recoup your investment don’t put your money in this place.

Just the facts. Anyone who tells you different is just trying to prop up their value so they can sell and get the hell out.

This. Also avoid streets named after Indian tribes.

BR was on the downside of its peak 25 years ago.

A few of my friends lived there in the mid 90s. It wasn't anything like today but it was turning shitty already. Same with North Sherwood and Gardere. They weren't no go zones yet but they weren't great either.

If you move from Cali to be a night nurse in Baton Rouge I think it is at least fair to question the sustainability of your highly promoted day trading prowess.

Maybe you just like emptying catheter bags in the dead of night and it doesn’t matter. But it is a fair question.

Dawson Park Apartments if you want the nicest/newest in the medical district of BR. Park Rowe is nice. Then there are a few others around the area that are cheaper and older.

Kenilworth if you want to buy a house, or even rent a house.

In all seriousness.
Ascension parish.
If Rona has taught us anything it's that local government matters.
Ascension isn't perfect. But EBR is a shithole.

Find a place that does not flood or has a lot of crime in Baton Rouge.

Good luck.

See if CitiScape apartments on Essen will let you rent for 6 months.
They may only do a year lease but it's a nice, secure, gated, apartment complex almost across the street from OLOL hospital.

Tara or Goodwood are good areas. Baton Rouge is not as bad as they saying. Just North Baton Rouge Scotlandville, Baker and Zachary.
