We were thinking of putting her down because she had skin infections for major part of her life. She lived until she was 16. I just let out a little cry just now after hearing the news that she had passed. Rip Gracie

You have my sympathies, baw. Losing a fur brother or sister is incredibly hard.

I hope it brings some peace that 16 years is an incredible run and you did everything you could for her

Sorry. Sometimes losing a dog is harder than losing a relative.

RIP Gracie.

We had a Gracie who died November 17, 2009 at 9 years old. Lab Shepherd mix. Sweet loving dog.

16 is a damn good run. Feel good about it. Sorry for you, but it sounds like you guys did pretty good for her. Y’all were lucky to have each other.

It really is.

Those loyal and sweet eyes looking at you as their time come to a close is so rough.

Sorry, Baw. Did she ever figure out who's a good girl?

16 years, she's lived a good life. Losing a house pet like that is like losing a family member. RIP

So sorry for your loss. Been almost a year since we lost our 8-yo dog very abruptly (think heart attack in someone’s 50s). I know some think they’re just dogs, but for some they’re family members. Our house just felt empty. Prayers sent.
