I don't understand the obsession over the abortion situation on this board.

How many people on this board will be directly impacted by this?

In real life I haven't heard anyone even mention it. You come to this board and half the threads are about it, people are praying to see people riot over it. Its kind of fricking weird.

Its in the states hands now. People who want an abortion but live in a state where its illegal will just go get one where its legal. Are people happy because now they have to travel further to get an abortion?

Im not really for abortion. If someone came ask for my advice about getting an abortion I would suggest they don't get one, but its still going to happen.

Cigarettes are legal and they have caused a lot of people to die earlier than they would have if they never smoked. Why isn't that a moral issue? Alcohol has caused problems for many people. It has broken up families, it has causes people to kill other people (whether it be drunk driving or someone just doing something downright stupid).

It seems like people's moral compass takes them all the way up to a point right before it includes the things they engage in. If it doesn't impact them they can take a high and mighty stance against it know damn well if they were in a situation where that was the best option for them, they would take that route.. But of course they wouldn't tell anyone because that would make them a hypocrite (and I am not saying this would be the case for everyone, I am just making a point that a lot of people have certain views on things, but when they are faced with the issue they suddenly see things different).

People have lost all sense of rational thinking when it involves political issues. Everyone has to prove to everyone they are a true liberal or a true conservative by either voicing their outrage or their excitement because that's how you throw up what set you rep.
