Mother upset about response time for sons wreck

I saw this story earlier this mother has contacted an attorney to look into the response time to her sons 911 call. The kid was legally drunk doing 113mph on Nicholson drive in baton rouge when he lost control and struck a tree. Apparently his watched dialed 911 twice and it took Police/EMS 30 mins to respond. Is she attempting to fix or possibly attack the technology or is she after shifting the blame from her son onto first responders?

the amount of taxes we pay in this state, its easy to argue that we should be given better service.

It shouldn't take 30 minutes to respond to a 911 call on Nicholson. I'd be upset too.

The former should be her goal, but knowing the general disposition of people, she’s doing the latter and looking for a payout.

Well that settles it.
She wants money.
Case closed Johnson.

He did not physically call 911. The car made the call for him
This is a non-priority call. If it would have been an actual human call then it would have been dispatched much quicker.
It was also apparently 20 min. While that’s not fast it’s still a realistic timeframe for a late night traffic response. It was dispatched at 141 and they arrived at 201.

I'm unfamiliar with this technology, so does the watch that dialed 911 have the ability to pinpoint the location of the emergency???
If so, then it's hard to believe it would take 30 minutes for police or EMS to arrive on the scene. What she needs to do is find out what time dispatch got the notification, what time units were dispatched and what time they actually arrived.
It is no secret that people in need often overestimate the time it takes for help to arrive.
Not much sympathy from me for being legally drunk and driving at that speed on public roads.

When she was teaching her son to drink and drive, did she ever think to tell him to call 911 30 minutes before drunkenly ramming into a tree?

its stated the 2nd call came into 911 and an officer then was dispatched 4 mins later and arrived on scene 20 mins later once he located the wreck.
I believe lat long or GPS coordinates were given to 911 via the watch or computer call from the car. Does 911 have the ability to translate that into an address of the location? I would think all that translation takes time leading to the delay in finding the wreck. Seems this mother should be thankful of the technology or working to improve it so that her son wasn't left to be found much later by a passing motorist

This. I'm sure they get a LOT of false calls via watch or whatever device is in the car at the time. It's not like they got notification saying there has been a deadly crash with a dui going over 100mph. So you have dispatch trying to verify if it's a valid 911 message AND where it is.
Not to be disrespectful of the deceased, but she should have a bit of awareness and realize that maybe her son's death was because he was stupid and putting everyone in danger. Maybe just be happy he didn't kill some innocent family coming in late from vacation. I'd be curious to see how many false messages they get from all these gadgets that dial 911.
