That would be cool.
Probably also worth noting you have bronze casting and significant metal working in places like Britain during the Middle Ages (500 to 1500 AD) which predates similar practices in the US by quite a bit. With trading of metals as well.
The area he found the item was first mentioned in 1001, as a part of Mercia. Stratford-upon-Avon (birthplace of William Shakespeare) is in the same county.
