Where do you get the impression she doesn't use her platform for actual action? Here, I can help...

LA Times story

A quote form her...

quote:

“My personal ethos is that everybody has a responsibility to try to make the world the best place it can be,” she says. “If you’re a lawyer, maybe you donate some of your time. If you’re a journalist, you’re writing a story that needs to be written. “I have this incredible platform. I’ve been very lucky to be on one of the most recognizable teams and to have this huge following. To not use that, to not give back, that’s selfish. And I don’t feel right about that.”

There are other examples just a Google search away.

So what has she actually done though?

Kaepernick at least donated a lot of time and money to causes he believed it. Chris Long donated 2 years of his salary.

Rapinoe raised $150k for victims of a fire. Didn't know she was kneeling/protesting for fire victims.

Chicken should send that chick a check. She gernerates almost as many posts on here as hurricanes and lovelorn advice seekers.

She bitches about equal pay, when she gets a higher percentage of revenue than her male counterparts. The difference is that the revenue pie is much smaller for women.

Rapinoe is single-handedly shrinking the revenue pie that she is paid from by turning off potential fans

He's a self-righteous lib that will tell you every chance he can that his old man marched in Alabama in the '60s. The type that longs for that feeling of having a just cause to fight for, even if it's contrived in 2019.

I've told that story exactly one time on this board, but okay.

Seen it multiple times on here from you, unless another Bama poster did.

Either way, your type is more cliche than you realize. Your virtue signaling argument ITT borders on insanity.

I'm sick of people telling me what is real when my reality is quite different.

Constantly trying to force their beliefs on me.

it could be argued that she is doing it, right now...

we wouldn't be discussing equal pay for women's soccer right now, realistically... [link=(Senator Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) introduced a bill Tuesday that would prevent the federal government from providing funding for the 2026 FIFA World Cup until the United States Soccer Federation agrees to equal pay for its men's and women's national teams.)]this likely wouldn't have happened either...[/link]

she is bringing awareness to a cause, in real time, and the story is not yet complete, therefore, i guess you are correct... she hasn't done anything, but she's in the process of at least trying to do something...

Should the WNBA make as much as the NBA? It’s about revenue generation. And realistically, no one gives a shite about women’s soccer.

If they want more money, they should draw in more people and make more money

let's be honest... the types of people who spend money to see her and the women's team support her cause, and will continue to support her cause and her team... the types of people that don't, never have and never will spend their money on that team, and the events of the past 2 weeks were never, ever going to change that...

hell, i support her trying to bring awareness to the issue, i do think they should have equal pay, but even then, i wouldn't go to one of their games... i just don't choose to spend my money on that particular avenue of entertainment... nothing wrong with it, per se, i just don't/wouldn't

eta: i wouldn't go to a Men's team match either... if i wanted to see lackluster soccer, i'll go to a JV game at one of the local high schools around here...

If she had longer hair and wasn't a lib cuck, there would be plenty of people saying "oh why not" or "I've done worse"

Face wise I don’t think I’ve done worse

I’d still absolutely plow because faces don’t matter in those situations

granted, this is a PRIVATE entity, not a national federation, so it sorta breaks with the norm, IMO, but there are events where women actually generate more revenue, yet prize money is split evenly.... figure skating, for one...

i just think that, when you look at it, they have been the vastly superior team, in terms of success, yet they get paid less... they have the same expectations, requirements, etc...
