This shite makes my blood boil.
I've expected this to come for awhile (although I guess it still hasn't come to Shreveport yet)
but at the end of the day, I'll take a mask mandate over shutting businesses back down
I'll join you in the rage if they move back to that FWIW

It's the exact opposite of wearing a condom. With a condom you don't wear it when you first make entry but put it on when you're really getting down to business. With a mask you wear it immediately upon entry but take it off when getting down to business.

They also happen to be the areas that were hit the hardest at the onset, particularly the Northeast.
But muh masks work!
Where these highest and most densely populated areas are and the rate at which the rates declined to incredibly low levels is due to the measures taken. How else would you explain it?
Mandatory masks and social distancing were not in effect from the outset.

They already took bars from us in Texas. fricking Abbott trying to appease the dems mixed with certain bars saying frick you to capacity limits.

I don't even really care about the mask debate...just seems absurd to think you can use the BRPD to enforce something you really can't actually enforce. Its a toothless scare tactic

ima go protest for black lives matter, thus i don't have to wear a mask

I wonder how much business will be hurt in BR if people start choosing AP and LP instead.

100%, but I think enough will comply so most won’t find out that it’s toothless.

Herd immunity threshold lower than the panic inducing models predicted.

When did the curves begin to decline? Before or after the mitigation measures were put into effect?

You gonna drive another 10 miles so you can walk around Walmart without a mask?

Yes. Next question
ETA: I'm not the type to public protest things I don't agree with so I'll just hit the parish and city in the only place that I can. Their pocketbooks.

I can’t imagine there will be that many people that choose to inconvenience themselves more by driving miles out of their way over just wearing a mask
Posted on 7/1/20 at 2:43 pm to Salmon
Maybe not walmart, but I can get my fuel somewhere else and shop at stores not across the parish line like I did before

I’m not sure it’s so simple. My wife works in BR. She often stops close to work on her way home to LP. She’s more likely to get things here now. Lots of commuters in LP and AP likely to make a slightly less convenient choice to avoid the inconvenience of a mask. Only a guess on my part. No idea how much effect it could have.

What do you mean? If you dont wear a mask, you are either going to be kicked out of wherever you are or get a ticket. If you do get a ticket and don't pay it. You'll have a warrant.
Lol I'd you think this is some empty threat or window dressing
What Louisiana Revised Statute will be noted on the citation?

It takes maybe 10 minutes to get to Carters

She just increased Trump's base in BR and probably insured her defeat.
Per JBE's press conference, the mask mandate was recommended by the White House after indicating BR as a hot spot.

I'm sure Fauci has recommended masks. He even is declaring football dead this year. My questions are not limited to democrat politicians on the local level. They go up to whoever can explain why masks are required other than to calm down Karens.
