BATON ROUGE, La - After a burglar was caught on a doorbell camera breaking into and then stealing Christmas presents from a south Baton Rouge home, the mayor's office released a statement demanding immediate action from homeowners.
"It's very disturbing to see one of our Baton Rouge citizens who has fallen on such hard times that he can't even afford to buy a belt to hold up his pants while he cleans out one of those posh, south Baton Rouge residences. These thieve's jobs would be so much easier if they had the use of both hands to hold those rich kid's Christmas presents, instead of having to use one hand to hold up their pants. I call on all homeowners in the parish to please start leaving belts out in the open so that our burglars can easily find them while they rob you of everything you've worked hard for years to buy. Christmas is a time for giving so please try to remember to put a belt or two next to your valuables tonight before going to bed."
A member of the mayor's staff asked that we publish a message in this article, addressed to the alleged burglar in this video, asking that he please reach out to the mayor's office after he gets caught, arrested and immediately released with no bond, to arrange pick up of a free belt autographed by the mayor.

In what situation is hanging pants optimal? The culture is so dumb that when they break the law, they suck at it.

When you're in an all-male prison system.

Imagine if judges and mayors came out and threatened death by homeowner for these thieves. I bet crime would subside if they thought they’d be in for more than a month in jail.

They already know a lot of people in Louisiana are armed. Doesn't phase them in the least bit.
