Mass mask mandate lifting-What changed?

Fauci in January after getting the vaccine states double masking is "common sense"

This is from the end of April
Is there some study that recently came out?
Even in the fauci article it acknowledged the Israel study showing essentially no risk but he still wanted to press on.

How can any of these dictators with a straight face lift these mandates and not receive flack or have to answer for their comments?
As far as I know there has been absolutely zero change in the scientific data. Please correct me if Im wrong.

The CDC said vaccinated folks don't need to wear masks anymore. Came out a day or two ago.

Hell, all the Covidiots are now bashing the CDC because they said masks weren't needed for vaxxed people. Those are the strictest of the "trust the science" people.

People stopped getting vaccinated. Being able to go maskless is the carrot to convince people to get vaccine.

I know this is meant sarcastically but in all seriousness did they cite any scientific evidence?
Its just crazy to me how the media etc is going to mindlessly celebrate this rather than call anyone out on this. By no means am I advocating for mask mandates but if they were put in place "to save granny" and then kept in place because you were "selfish and a killer" if you didnt wear one even with the vaccine then it has to be backed up by something. Otherwise we are just going by the governed solely by the whims of a select group of people. This is why the founding fathers revolted.
And it should be very, very troubling that no one is calling them out on it.

Hell I at least respect that.
If you have been told for over a year that you are killing the people next to you if you dont wear a mask then the CDC and these governors and mayors have to provide a real reason on why is ok now and not before.
