A red ring around Uranus means “You might be an Aggie”.

I’m just getting into it but saw that mars and Jupiter should be visible tonight, walked outside to find out it’s raining. Should’ve checked the weather before the sky map, but cool pic, keep it up.

You have been able to see them for a couple of months now. You missed seeing Mercury-Saturn, with the moon, simultaneously a few months back.
When it clears up you will see Jupiter early and Mars will follow.

Whether or not they discover life there, Mars should be considered an enemy planet.

Nice. Back in 2003 Mars was the closest to Earth it had been in 60,000 years. This was taken, then, with a 9" scope from just east of Waco.
