23 years ago I had to make the choice between my girlfriend of only nine months or my high school sweety , a six year on and off relationship. I picked and married the girlfriend if nine months. I would be lying if I said I never thought how things would be different. I think I made the right decision in the end.

I had other girlfriends prior to my wife, a few I'm happy I didn't marry, perhaps one could have turned out ok.
Interestingly, one I dated but once, went on to be on some Hollywood reports type show. She probably wouldn't have worked out.
I'll say I did not settle at all.
My wife probably could have had others and she probably wished she had married a different socioeconomic class. Lol.

20 years in! I knew the second I laid eyes on her she was the one. I believe she knew as well. Definitely didn’t settle.
