They would spend more time than that removing dead hookers from Affleck’s trailer every day.

I am calling for the cancelation of Home Alone altogether. Just the knowledge that Trump was once featured in a cameo sends shivers of PTSD down my spine. We should also cancel Macauly Culkin for daring to be in a movie with him at any point in time.

so, they want to use the name "Trump Tower" but, they don't want to have the owner of the place in their movie?

It was the Trump Plaza Hotel at the time.

If they didn’t want to film there, they could have done the Waldorf or some other landmark hotel instead.

Trump’s rate for permitting them was likely cheap under the agreement that he get publicity out of it. The Waldorf would have charged them an arm and a leg, I’m sure.

Matt Damon said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in 2017 that Trump would allow films to be shot in his buildings as long as he got a part in the project.

“The deal was that if you wanted to shoot in one of his buildings, you had to write him in a part. [Director] Martin Brest had to write something in Scent of a Woman — and the whole crew was in on it,” he said then.

You have to waste an hour of your day with a bullshite shot: D

Wow Matt that must've been hard for you. Did you schedule a full week with your therapist afterwards?

Holy shite, how is this any different than Damon getting his buddies in movies or the Culkin siblings getting in movies.

Its no different. Hollywood is chock full of depressed neurotic hypocritical idiots.

Important issues here. Meanwhile we have more troops in dc then Afghanistan and Iraq combined to be used against citizens

We always have a lot of National Guardsmen in the capital for an inauguration. There will be more this time, but it's not that unusual. Most will not be armed.

Shoot, Lincoln had to sneak into DC.

President for 4 years, TDS will be around 400 years. There will be a chapter in the history books about it for many generations to come. Nobody will remember Bush, Obama (except the first black? president part), Biden, but good or bad, plenty of both, Trump will be cemented in our history, pissing people off, for centuries to come

We are dealing with an economic crisis worldwide, a pandemic, and there’s people concerned with this crap? Unbelievable

Eh, to be fair, the entire job description of any celebrity is to have a public profile not matter the reason. It wouldn’t surprise me is Culkin in real life didn’t give two shits about this subject. He just wants to be in the spotlight.

Celebrities (and that includes ALL politicians) are a cynical bunch.

Until the next Republican President. They don't talk bad about Bush anymore but when he was President he was literally Hitler. Now he is one of the "good Republicans." When John McCain ran for President in 08 he was horrible but prior to that and after he was a great American and a "maverick." The next Republican will be vilified just as much as Trump is now.

Home alone 2 was one of the worst movies I have ever seen...... After #1 there was zero reason to make a sequel except there were gonna be tons and tons of people hoping to get the same feeling of the first one.... BTW I did not go to pay to see this movie... I waited until it came out on HBO.....
