They really are great dogs. This site is just full of figs that like to blow things out of proportion.

I think they can be really great dogs, until they're not.

During the years I was a flight nurse, I flew multiple pit owners to the trauma center who'd been attacked by their own dog- thus my caution around that breed. So I think a good amount of caution if warranted.

That being said- the only dog bite that I have ever had was from a stupid boston terrier. those mfkrs can ead.

I would too but that ain't happening.

They're getting their asses whipped. UF just turned a fumble on a 4 and 1 attempt into a TD.

Being a flight nurse sounds pretty badass. Bet you saw some crazy stuff.

It was my absolute favorite part of my career.

I did see a lot of trauma, blood guts, and gore and was able to do a lot of advanced skills and procedures that I couldn't perform under my scope of practice in the ER - so yeah - it was great.

Lots of horrible, sad, tragic things too that sort of shape my world view and perspective too- so there is the other side of the coin. I tend to think about those flights more often than the adrenalin rush of a super chaotic MVC scene flight if I let my mind wander too far though.

How do you think that has impacted your world view, as you said?

Just curious because my past has definitely done the same. I have trouble taking things too serious at times because of the things I've been through. All the death and destruction I've seen makes it difficult for me to take things too serious. Not a great trait to have.

That was one big arse dude. I was sitting there trying to to guess his weight to myself. I settled around 420 lbs.

Did they say how much he weighed?

Holy frick.

How is that dude even alive? He's going to have a heart attack on the field if they keep him in for more than one play at a time.
