This was brought up in yesterday’s thread, link was added later

Dr. Birx said the task force does not want states to relax mitigation measures, including certain restrictions on businesses, until the statewide positivity rate falls below 3% and Louisiana reports five new cases per 100,000 residents per day.

Dr. Birx led a round table discussion with LSU officials and Gov. John Bel Edwards at the university’s campus in Baton Rouge Wednesday.

We’re consistently at the lowest hospitalized level in 4 months and this BS is still a “Pandemic “.

This is fricking ridiculous. Just destroy the rest of the economy and start from scratch.

Total cases by collection date on or after 9/10/2020 - 5,277. plus hospitalizations equals 5,852. The number I posted yesterday using the same methodology was 6,068. There are 216 fewer active cases today than yesterday, a decrease of 3.56%.

Just wait.. some of those Labor Day folks who took loooong weekends, that data is still coming in

Also: we’ve been saying here for a while but really is there ANY doubt that they’re purposefully keeping it closed until after the election ??

At what point are the daily suicide deaths and depression/mental health cases going to pass the COVID deaths and cases?

I remember when it was two weeks to not overwhelm the system. That was more than 6 months ago.

14 days to stop the spread.....flatten the curve.....don't overwhelm hospitals.....less than 10% postive rate...and now 5 cases per 100,000 people.

This shite is over.

Why does it have to be both? The five per 100k is approximately 235 cases. For that number of cases with 3% positive, we need over 7,800 tests per day. That's a complete waste of time and resources. If we test 5,000 and have 200 positives, 4%, she still wants us shut down? This is why we must stop following the Fed experts.
