Total cases by collection date on or after 9/22/2020 - 5,504, plus hospitalizations equals 6,071. The number I posted yesterday using the same methodology was 6,278. There are 207 fewer active cases today than yesterday, a decrease of 3.29%. 477 of the 506 new cases are from test dates during this time.

Did they also tell you that hospitals are frequently nearing icu capacity before covid? My sister, no pics, also works at olol hospital and spent time in the covid unit. I will ask her and verify.

Yep. My cousins wife said there’s less than a couple dozen China flu patients at the lake. It’s barely relevant in the whole a schem of things, I’d think.

Read it as Laf and gave stats for Acadiana. BR is in even better shape than the Acadiana LDH region.

78% ICU utilization. 80-90% is normal. Calling BS.

2 patients are Covid ventilated in the BR region. That’s 1.5% of ICU patients. Assuming ALL Covid patients are ICU related, that’s 25% Due to Covid, but we know that’s way overestimating. Point is, I think your person is not in the know or there’s a serial Covid spreader infecting at-risk people.

Truth is, all of Acadiana only has 53 hospitalized Covid patients and FIVE on vents (ALL OF ACADINA).

Ochsner has 48 Covid patients in ICU across their entire system
