The NCAA can frick right off.

We need to protect Louisiana’s daughters from some mentally ill sons.

“I think we are seeing that corporations, associations and major sports organizations are more and more willing to weigh in on these types of issues,” said Walt Leger, vice president and general counsel of New Orleans & Company, previously called the New Orleans Convention & Visitors Bureau. “They will move their business to other locations when this type of legislation is enacted.”

Maybe these guys should keep this same energy and call out latoya. This being what they want to fight is comical.

If HS girls around the country would simply refuse to compete against any teams or events with boys posing as girls it would end!! If a team with one chick w/dick only got forfeit wins and never got to play, very quickly would the rest of that team would run them off too.

I try to be tolerant and let people live their lives however they want to as long as they earn their keep and don’t affect anyone else. This is not that. This is insanity. Absolutely supporting “perming mental illness’ and allowing young people to mutilate themselves. Not to mention, letting guys with testosterone and dicks play with the females is so freaking sickening and unfair to real females everywhere.

This is absolute lunacy that corporations would involve themselves in this. Absolute lunacy.

I don’t understand why anyone wants legislative bodies wasting time on meaningless shite like this.

I wouldn't be upset if my state didn't allow genetic males from participating in girls athletics. I don't have an issue with the laws being passed in South Dakota, Oklahoma, Mississippi, and likely Louisiana on restricting genetic males to men's sports until we figure out how to safely make this work for everyone.

I thought I was an LGBT ally, but if this is their ask, I'm not on board. I am seriously concerned that this would discourage girls from participating in team sports. And team sports like that are critical for their confidence and youth development. Not to mention that scholarships are in place specifically for girls sports.

Moving to Louisiana next year. I actually lived in the Bayou state for the first 22 years of my life. I have not ever nor will ever benefit from the Superdome or Smoothie King Arena hosting events that would otherwise go to Atlanta or Houston. That doesn't matter to me. And I think New Orleans is a big enough tourism destination that it wouldn't matter to most of the small businesses there either.

So I'd tell the sports leagues, NCAA, and the TV networks to get fricked. Add them to the list that Delta Airlines, Facebook, Twitter, AWS, Microsoft, Coca Cola, General Motors, and Ford were so quick to join. It's time for those organizations and corporations to learn the hard way that it is best for everyone if they stayed out of politics.

It's not meaningless if you have a daughter that wants to play sports.

I travel National amd international. Tradeshow sin NOLA absolutely suck for me. Out of town folk only look forward to the food and drinking. 90% of the people I work with would prefer an alternative destination - myself included.

Exactly

I get his point that men are inherently more athletic but there is a line and a group of 40 year olds who are overweight and suck a soccer would not beat a group of in shape 20-30 year old women who have been playing soccer professionally.

This is correct.

A 16 year old high school team would though.
