We never should have allowed people to demask. They were doing a damn good job of keeping the common cold and flu away. Now we’ll go back to being sick again because people don’t have the common courtesy to wear masks and not fricking congregrate.

Yep. I've had it for two days. Sore throat and stuffy nose.

Look, social distancing clearly works. We should have never forced it, but it works obviously

I have been sick-ish since the Thursday before last. No stuffiness or congestion, but I had a dry cough for like 11-12 solid days with 1-2 additional days where I was able to cough up some yuck. I couldn't speak without getting coughing attacks and it made me super hoarse/sore.
I otherwise don't feel bad, and now the coughing has subsided. But yesterday I woke up with that very strong "sickness" taste/smell you get when you're getting sick. Been sitting here wondering how I am tasting that pre-sickness taste a solid 12-13 days after the coughing and sore throat started.
Just gonna do like last night and try to sleep deeply on NyQuil tonight and hope I woke up tomorrow with the taste gone. Will be on a plane Thursday and people will murder me if I'm coughing, but luckily this shouldn't be an issue.

Wearing masks for the past year and a half probably fricked up our immune system so we’re gonna catch every little cold out there for a while.
