Remotes should be fluorescent orange or yellow. Would be so much easier to find

I stuck a tile for remotes on my two remotes. Its so much easier now. But it ugly look like a black ball stuck to the top on the flat portion.

Get a TCL with built in Roku. You can power it on with the Roku app on your phone. (And it has a power button.)

Some have remote apps that you can put on your phone...that way you can use it until your remote turns up.

I got on Ebay and ordered like 10 extra remotes (they came in a pack of 10) for my cable. They're all over my house. I have a voice remote and I thought that they would be expensive. However, they were actually pretty cheap. I didn't even need to figure out how to program them. I simply needed to say something like "Program Remote" and it did it automatically - including the TV and sound system. You did need to tell it what type of TV and sound system but there was a list and it gave you the 4 digit code.

There is an app you can download to turn your phone into a remote. Should be easy with newer televisions.
