Does the OT have any suggestions on hotel/resorts?

I went for a week and a half for my honeymoon. We spent half of our time in Arenal and the other half on the Pacific Coast. I would highly recommend the hotel I stayed at in Arenal. Had a great experience there. Small, quiet, and very nice. LINK

Spent our time on the coast in an all-inclusive. It was ok, much preferred our time in central Costa Rica.

For my ten yr i did one night in san jose, then Pacaure river lodge, then finish of a Marriott in Jaco. Trip of a lifetime! Only thing that would compare was our honeymoon to Maui.
River lodge was expensive but worth every penny, it came highly recommended to me and you should at least spend two nights of your trip there!

My wife and I stayed at the Marriott Los Suenos Resort and it was great. We kept the resort the whole time but stayed in Manuel Antonio State Park one night and spent another by Arenal. I highly recommend getting a car...we did and it was great having the freedom to go wherever you want. We went out almost every night in Jaco.

We stayed Arenal nayara too! The interior was great. After Arenal, we flew to Quepos and stayed at Costa del Mar(I think).

To the Op, Costa rica is a great place for a honeymoon if you want to do a lot of activities and enjoy beautify scenery. I would suggest you get a travel agent that has been to Costa Rica to suggest local activities. We did white water rafting, ziplining, horseback riding, sightseeing at Manuel Antonio.

re: Looking to honeymoon in Costa Rica
We are gonna use Gecko Trails (based out of CR)to plan our honeymoon. They will basically plan out your whole trip for you, arrange all your tours, transportation and hotel. We want a more adventure honeymoon so we are gonna stay couple nights in Arenal area for hiking the volcano, waterfall and visit the hot springs there, and then mountainbike to Monteverde where we will zip line in cloud forest. Then will go to Manual Antonio where we are gonna go scuba diving there. Also white water rafting near there as well.

I'd use trip advisor to check out any place you are thinking of going to.
