There have been a few nervous times, but probably thinking about it was when I had a baseball game that day.
Little League, that is.
I remember when I was 12 or so, I'd have those nervous feelings all day about the game that night.
Once the game was on, I don't recall still being nervous. Just the lead up time to the game.

There have been other times, once a cop pulled me over when I was young and they called my parents to come get me.

What about you? A big sporting event, whether you were playing or was a fan? Your child's event? Your own wedding?
A big job interview? First day at a new job?

Looking for a few good stories from the OT. TIA

Playing Christian Brothers’ football team in 6th grade when their whole entire team was held back a year and was twice our size. Came in for 1 play at ILB and they happened to score an 80 yard touchdown.

ETA: OP posted a childhood memory so I figured that’s what this thread was referring to

Personally, I equate nerves with things that are out of my hands. I'm typically not nervous about things I can control, but a great example was during the birth of my child. That helpless feeling knowing that events are completely out of your control contributed most to my nerves for those hours

I guess the lower tier from that but still applicable is my most recent job change. It was a big step up in responsibility and complexity, and the nerves surrounding not knowing how to do the job entirely are definitely there. But I look at it with a positive, because if you're not uncomfortable, you're not growing.

Sitting in the holding tank surrounded by an unsavory cast while I try to get in touch with someone through a collect call to come bail me out of jail. Definitely makes you want to learn some important phone numbers instead of just pressing their name on a cell phone.

Cops raided my spring break one year and our entire room was filled with alcohol and clouded with weed and everyone but me was under 21

As the cops stood in the middle of the room, I had a bunch of weed under my chair and joints in my pocket.

I didn't think it was possible to sober up from fear like that.

When I was 13 I got drilled in the head by a dinger trying to throw a curveball when he didn't know how to and it fricked me up for a while at the plate.

don't know why I thought of this but I had a "scare" with the gf in hs during baseball season, pretty heavy weight on a 17 year old, was on my mind during all waking hours, oddly, the only time I could relax and that be completely off my mind was during the baseball games, went on an absolute tear of a hitting streak, coach even made some comment about noticing a change in my demeanor and commented about it, something something whatever it is don't change it

In high school, I played a prank on a teacher I really liked. She did not take the prank well, and stormed out of the room and went to the principal's office. Principal came in the room trying to figure out who did it. Nobody snitched on me, and I was too chickenshit to fess up. I told my parents that night because of guilt, mostly because I really liked the teacher and was upset I had let her down. They advised me I needed to fess up and apologize.

I didn't sleep at all that night, and was a nervous wreck when the bus pulled up to the school. I about fainted when I got to her classroom door. She took it fairly well and admitted she overreacted the day before. She is still one of my favorite teachers I ever had.

Almost a year ago, when my then 18 month old was in LeBonheur Children's Hospital after having 4 seizures and a stroke. I wasn't allowed to see him for 8 days because of covid, I had to park across the street at a Church's Chicken parking lot and wave to him up on the 7th floor so he would know his daddy was there. I was a ball of nerves and could hardly eat for a week
