Local Thursdays at Jazzfest

The line was absolutely terrible for buying cheaper local tickets from 10 AM - Luke Combs/Billy Strings. Louisiana managed to create an app for both an ID and Vac status but can’t figure out how to manage a fricking line or charge a credit card at jazz fest.

I mean it's Jazz Fest. As a local you should expect lines and bring enough cash to cover expenses for the day

I put my bag down on the table and my wife and I walked through the metal detector. Dude just sat there staring at my bag and just said "you taking it or not?" without checking anything in it. The metal detector seemed to be off so the other guy walked up with the handheld and asked "got anything metal? nah? you good" without actually using the metal detector.

Same thing happened to us, as great as the lax security was for getting in with bags the gf and I just side eyed stared at each other when they passed our backpacks thru without touching them. They're just asking for it to the fan one day

that’s a you problem not a jazz fest problem. We walked up, saw the line, and bought tix on the phone in less time than it took to pass thru the bag check

And you paid $90 instead of $50. It says on the website you have to buy local tickets in person at the FG which is probably why the line was so long. Mobile tickets are full price.

Well you value your time at 40 bucks an hour plus add the missed entertainment and aggravation. I would gladly pay the extra $40 and roll in with out a care.
Why do people shop at target vs Walmart? Same shite but the lack of aggravation at target is worth the extra money
Also it is the City of New Orleans never expect something to go smoothly
