The arrest stems from information detectives received regarding a relationship Fontenot allegedly had with a 17-year-old student at LCA, where he was a teacher and coach, spokesperson for LPSO Valerie Ponseti said. Fontenot was previously arrested on April 24, 2015, for prohibited sexual contact between an educator and student by the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office. He was a coach at Beau Chene High School at the time.

Pastor Jay may get hit with that civil suit for failing to do his due diligence on this predator. Sounds like a simple Google would have caught the 2015 arrest.

Any time I hear of a “Pastor Firstname” running a church/organization, I avoid it. Nine times out of ten, Pastor Firstname wears jeans and a shirt that was trendy 3 years ago while preaching a “relevant” message of self help, scantily supported by cherry picked biblical passages taken out of context.

Greg Fontenot played shortstop for the Cajuns. He was terrible.
