Now that sports betting is legal is there such thing as "insider trading"? In other words, someone learns (like a coach or trainer)a key player is hurt but its not public and they bet on this is it illegal? FWIW I am not an insider, just curious how this works. Thank you

Several states have been pursuing making use of non-public or confidential information illegal. I am not sure if any of them have actually become law yet.

That kind of stuff has been going on since Philippides’ trainer gave his neighbor a tip that he could go the distance from Marathon to Athens.
