No. Her dad said she was getting engaged to a guy in San Diego getting ready to be deployed. He spoke to her dad on Wednesday to get his blessing "posthumously."

Not my intent at all. It was just an interesting choice to hire a tv lawyer for a (probable) 7 figure case. The driver does sound like a turd - even through his attorney. Saying that not wearing a seatbelt saved his life? GTFO.

I wasn't necessarily singling you out, I just know how this place gets with this type of thing.
As far as lawyer choice, I don't know why? Don't think it really matters. All I can think is they feel this Jason fellow is well connected as we've seen by the media and police silence and wanted somebody to bring attention to the case. I'm purely speculating.

The guy from San Diego was her high school boyfriend. On and off all their lives. He was at the funeral. A mess of course :(
I was not aware at all of this engagement and would be surprised but I guess that doesn't make it untrue. Just... Idk. She moved to San Diego to be with him and then moved back home so I'd be surprised if engagement was in their plans. That said, she and I weren't best friends so maybe so.
