Reminds me of the saying we had in O&G when Kazakhstan first opened up after the fall of the USSR. “There are two types of men who go work in Kazakhstan, the ones who go there single and come home married and the ones who go there married and come home divorced”.
That’s a good way to put it. I don’t know how it is now, but in the late 80s - early 90s, if you went into the PX or a chow hall on an army base, you’d find a large number of mostly good looking Korean women working there. These ladies were the spouses of soldiers who’d been deployed to Korea and brought a new bride back to “the big PX”, which is what Koreans called the US.
Ironically though, those same Korean spouses could also be found at the NCO club anytime their husband’s unit went out into the field.

Asian women come from very conservative and traditional backgrounds where there are a lot of restrictions and expectations on the role of women and men in a relationship as well as family. Americans in general tend to be much more open and flexible which Asian women find appealing.
If i ever found myself getting married again (unlikely since current missus is still kicking after 30+ years) she would be Asian. Western women today are like Russian Roulette with one empty chamber.

a couple of years ago, I made the decision that I wanted to date an Asian. Living in Houston, I have a wide selection. That's all I would swipe on while doing the online thing. I pulled one date with a few Korean women and also several dates with 2 Vietnamese woman. All were very nice, pretty, and probably would have made a good gf/wife but I just couldn't really connect with them. Especially the Vietnamese women, I think we really tried but it just wasn't there for either of us. All spoke English, but very heavy accents.and we did have some communication issues.
They were just different, not in a bad way but in a way that there would have been challenges.
I ended up deciding Latina was the route for me and I'm 1 year in a great relationship.

Is that they only dance they know?

You might think that this dance is easy to do, but, last night while having a beer at my VFW canteen, the Vietnam Vets there said that my rendition of the Strike Out Dance was absolutely terrible.

Workaholic comes to mind. Nephew and step-daughter were part of the package and the success of my grown son and daughter were an important consideration in the long term assessment. If the kids even look like they are slacking off in school, holy hell breaks loose.

The one factor that seems to work best is both liking things that are different. Different food, entertainment, lots of little customs American women just don't do.
On Thanksgiving, the K-ladies take over the kitchen and run me out if I try to help. Introducing the little ones to cranberry sauce is a hoot. Three year old like the looks of the red stuff, tasted it and spit it right out, then wanted more.
