My wife is 5'2" and 108 pounds at 53 years. Love for many tends to cool off after a two or three years. Ours still glows so much that most of her friends have hook-up or married an American guy. It doesn't always work for everyone because there are many variables.
Asian women come from very conservative and traditional backgrounds where there are a lot of restrictions and expectations on the role of women and men in a relationship as well as family. Americans in general tend to be much more open and flexible which Asian women find appealing. Fortunately, my wife's parents are always happy to see me, even though they don't speak English.

In lower Manhattan on the street, there a many young couples that are an American guy and a young Asian woman. It quite the trend.
It also produces the longest marriages according to the Census so there's a
positive dynamic going on there.
