They are sister companies and the cars share a lot of parts under the skin. In a few years they will be even more identical.

Got a Mercedes, an Escalade and a Kia Sorento in the driveway. Wife drives the Kia 90% of the time. Fabulous car and the AWD makes it handle well in rain and bad road situations.
