Was a nice suburb until 2010 or so. Then white people increasingly started moving even farther east and south.
Even Germantown and Collierville are getting worse by the year

We passed through Memphis 5 days ago. I’ve never stayed at a terrible Holiday inn until this week. Broken toilet, AC was janky, hair in the tub…
Also, the front desk kweens were impressively ghetto. I will say Central bbq is almost worth getting shot.

In my 7 years living in Memphis I went from “it’s not as bad as people say” to “I need to get out of this shite hole asap.”
The crime has leaked into the “good” areas and there isn’t a place in the country where employees give less of a shite about the customers.
