Just tested positive for the Rona

I will call my PCP in the morning. What is the current treatment?

My 9th grandkid was born Thursday, 5 days ago which is the average time before symptoms manifest. I spent the day in the maternity waiting area at the hospital. Pretty sure that’s where I picked it up.

Currently have a low grade fever and chest congestion. Feel very tired.

Isn’t the current treatment just waiting it out now?

Don't call the PCP. Smoke it. Drink lots of water, drink some of that breath easy tea, eat hot wings for congestion and Tylenol for fever.

I tested positive last week and have just been sitting around doing nothing. Still am pretty tired and some small congestion but otherwise ok.

Why did you test yourself?

Omicron is milder than the flu

Whatever OTC meds you can take for fever & chest congestion (make sure it doesn’t interfere with any other meds you are on)
Congrats on the new grand baby

No worries. Covid only affects really old people. Like, so old they have more than 8 grandchildren.

And seriously, your posting here for what to do next?? Like prior comment, most simply let it run its course. You did not say if vac'd or not, because apparently it does not matter. I have known too many lately both vacd and not, but still showing positive for it. I doubt PCP will say more than rest & hydration & a week of a mask. Just mho
