re: Just a reminder that if you vote for Broome you’re voting for more murders

You should probably know that homicide rates are up by about 50% across the entire US. It’s not just Baton Rouge.

That has zero to do with what happens in Baton Rouge. She has cultivated a Wild West mentally that people can murder their enemies and get away with it. Same thing with the police Chief whom she personally chose.
If you want your chances of being a victim of a violent crime to go up, vote for Broome.

We set an all time murder record under her a few years ago when violent crime was down in the US overall. We were trending in the wrong direction before the social unrest/covid.

There is something in common however

The men and women of the Baton Rouge Police Department are some of the most dedicated, resilient cops in this country.
Most of them specifically chose to serve the people of Baton Rouge, communities of color, and spend their life’s work protecting people just like you from the violent criminals you constantly hear getting closer and closer to your world.
To suggest that these servants don’t care is insulting and minimizes the effect of the failed social policies and false narratives that leaders have exploited for their own political advancement.
They have stood the test of time during civil unrest, violent ambushes, false attacks in the national media, and some of the greatest natural disasters this country has ever seen. Nothing last forever. Pain is only temporary and this too will pass.
In the meantime, if you think change is needed to allow them to do the tough, thankless, ugly work that is necessary for a lawful society, please take the time to vote December 5th.
This city has enough critics. Do your part to be a piece in the solution.

With every city in the country? They are all cities?

I actually have been a victim of crime in Baton Rouge in the last three years. I provided the name and address of the suspect. That detective didn’t give a shite about my case. I called him and left multiple voicemails. He finally called me back after the 6th time. His excuse was they were swamped.
You know what happens in the private sector if you don’t do your job or you do it poorly, you get fired. I’m not saying they all suck but the morale sucks.

Pretty similar story for me, it would have taken the detective less than 30 minutes to look at some video but he chose not to & not call me back for whatever reason
While it pissed me off I put my anger towards the shitty leadership in the city / parish & metro council members, they are the ones squandering your tax dollars until there is nothing left to hire & train more (& better qualified) cops
EBRSO not BRPD for me

Baton Rouge is doomed no matter who’s elected mayor, but Broome will win again. The real problem is the stupid people of BR
That fact is BRPD has been undermanned, overworked and under paid for over ten years now. They work too much OT to make ends meet. It began under Kip and has gotten worse under Broome as she undermined police morale and the ranks were depleted and those left got more and more frustrated.
Broome offering them a raise now right before the election is nothing but a stunt. She could care less.

She’s black in a majority black parish. It’s over.
Only solution is to vote with your tax dollars and move out.

What will carter do different. He seems just as bad a broome

Hire a new police Chief, not reward Alton Sterling’s family millions of dollars for bringing massive negative media attention to the city for his noncompliance with officers, protect the vibrant areas of the parish and root out the criminals. I could go on.

Dominion is voting for Broome & Murder.
Verify these machines before they try to steal another election.

According to the most recent census projections, "white alone, percent" is 47.6 while "black alone, percent" is 47.2.
What is more telling are the stats from the SOS site, 300k registered voters, 141k Democrats 47%, 83k Republicans 28%, 76k other 25%.
The turn out in Zachary, Central, St. George and unincorporated area will be the difference for Carter, just as it wasn't for White.
Please vote for a positive future for East Baton Rouge.
Please vote for Carter.

Doesn't fit the narrative bro. Let alone the socioeconomic system thet leads an EBR citizen to murder someone. You could have Donald Trump as BR mayor and Norman Schwarzkopf as police cheif and crime would be the same. Until you fix fathers in homes and the public school system and educate people and also stop foreign ( non African American made ) drugs entering African American communities you will never stop the problem that is inner city crime nationwide.
So, Whitey has to continue holding their hands? All these years and he still has to hold their hands?
