Historic violent crime has fallen upon Baton Rouge due to Mayor Broome and her chosen Police Chief. They have incited and encouraged violence and crippled morale in the Police Department and throughout the parish.

We have more murder occurring in all corners of the parish. The police no longer care about such petty crimes and burglary or theft. They don’t care when people are getting murdered either. This is evident by how many unsolved murders take place.

Vote for Broome if you want to be doomed.

By all metrics she’s a shite candidate and has been a shite mayor, but because a certain portion of our population is so vehemently racist, she’ll win because of her complexion.

Baton Rouge is doomed no matter who’s elected mayor, but Broome will win again. The real problem is the stupid people of BR

Not trying to go against the OP, but murders are trending up everywhere in America.

The homicide detectives care about the cases. The problem is there are currently only 8 detectives assigned to homicide with BRPD which hinders their ability to investigate the way the cases need.

Doesn't fit the narrative bro. Let alone the socioeconomic system thet leads an EBR citizen to murder someone. You could have Donald Trump as BR mayor and Norman Schwarzkopf as police cheif and crime would be the same. Until you fix fathers in homes and the public school system and educate people and also stop foreign ( non African American made ) drugs entering African American communities you will never stop the problem that is inner city crime nationwide.

Don't throw the rank and file officers under the bus for what their superiors choose to not do. Most of the men and women in the BRPD are good, honest people who have been hamstrung by Broomhilda and Paul. Just sticking it out and not quitting is enough to gain my respect.
The unsolved murders in the city are 100% due to the "communitay" not seeing nuffin.

And this is why I am such a big supporter of St. George. Now if they could just wrap up all these silly lawsuits and let us break away like the majority of the people voted for.

The fact is that some people vote on representation purely based on gender & color. It doesn’t matter if someone is a corrupt piece of shite as long as the right boxes are checked.

That doesn't sound like much. How many would an average city with a comparable number of murders have?

Shootings/Violence seems to be ticking up substantially in the Burbank Dr corridor as well as Siegen/Sherwood.

Add in the already rampant violent crime in North BR, and it looks like the main part of the city is pretty much flanked on all sides.

Depending on the source, one person shouldn’t be lead on more than 7-8 homicides in a year. Some of the BRPD detectives have been lead on 14-15 homicides this year so far

She wants to defund the police. You think we’ll get more detectives if she’s defunding them.
