But from your OP, is it correct to say John “I am America’s political moral compass” Oliver wants a company to Tweet “frick you” in order to raise money for a charity? Implying that if the company doesn’t tweet “frick you,” then the charity doesn’t deserve the money?

Say what you will about his politics, and I don't give a frick either way, that was SPOT on. I remember frickign cookie crisp had a running show within their commercials of these burglars stealing shite. I remember when the Legend of Zelda made a cereal, and it was fricking delicious. What has happened to us as a people.

I think that was discussed in the show but I don't remember. It may be the city councils jab at him. It started when Oliver went on a rant about Danbury for zero reason as he sometimes does with cities. The mayor clapped back that he was going to name the swear plant after him because he was full of crap. Oliver said let's make this happen.
Anoether one he did was after a bit making fun of one of those ever present local PBS auctions to raise money. There was a painter that donated some paintings and they were of rat erotica. It was from about 25 or 30 years ago and he vowed to track it down and offered to pay the person that had a specific one $1,000 for the painting and give $20k to charity... he found the painting.
He also donated a train set prop to a museum in PA.
Love him or hate him he does do some nice things in the name of publicity.
