As far as Gardere why has someone not asked why BR has not annexed them into the city?
Or, if this is really about "Together BR" why hasn't BR annexed all of the unincorporated areas?

I'd be stupid to come out with that.
You can do it anonymously, Mr. Wade Wilson.
Although it sounds like his board wanted nothing to do with St. George either so probably a waste of time.

The board wants the HQ out of the region so telling them anything is a waste of time.
No one working at corporate for a Fortune 500 company wants to live in Louisiana, which is why they keep relocating elsewhere. They want someplace either exciting like LA, NYC, etc, or someplace with the ability to bring in a lot of people with talent like Atlanta, Houston, Dallas, Denver, etc.

No, he’s all in with the metro council and planning an zoning to get his developments approved within the city limits. Not to mention Rouzan as someone already pointed out. He is helping them so they will ram through his developments regardless of how the surrounding neighborhoods and associations feel about them. You can also bet your life that not one person with the last name Enquist, who is any relation, attends an EBR public school.

It’s a joke. It’s not as if Fortune 500 companies were flocking to EBR before the SG petition, or that they were flocking to BR proper because it’s a great place to do business. His testimony was political and had nothing to do with reality or the law.

He and Lipsey are footing the bill for SWB, so they get to speak.
Making complete and total asses of themselves is the plus for us because it shows the public what the rest of us already know.

I remember when IBM needed every bit of a 2 year extension to fill all the jobs they promised to bring to BR.

I also remember when IBM was going to be a gamechanger for downtown and BR! Wow, BR is doing so great right now thanks to the IBM building!

Meanwhile BRAF’s development side got a big deal.

This is my issue. I live in BR proper which means I stand to be a net loser if/when St. George incorporates. But I think it’s bullshite for the city to effectively hold unincorporated land hostage.

A local Fortune 500 business owner who staunchly opposes St. George becoming East Baton Rouge Parish's fifth municipality told a judge Tuesday he believes the creation of a new city will have negative financial and social impacts on Baton Rouge.
John Engquist, who also is a developer, opted last year for H&E Equipment Services to be annexed into the city of Baton Rouge rather than remain within the proposed boundaries of the city of St. George. At the time, Engquist threatened to pack up his publicly-traded company and move out of state should the firm and his nearby planned Materra residential development be forced to remain in St. George.
I just want to point out that H&E Equipment is no where near the Fortune 500 list, or even the top 1000.

I’m sure if one wanted to go through the Advocate article with a red pen to mark every factual inaccuracy or grammatical error, they would end up with a negative percentage.

The Advocate article was all about Enquist. Did anyone else testify yesterday?

Denice Marcelle asked that very same question, Kip Holden was the one who decided against it. He didn't want to have to provide fire department services, but chose to annex the Casino and The Mall because they generate revenue. Kip was indeed a POS

So when this trial ends, hopefully this week, will that resolve all the issues assuming it is in favor of upholding the election?
are they going to set a date on when the official city of St. George will go into affect?

I've been watching him for quite a while, wondering the same. It's close, but I think he's not quite far enough up Broome's twat for that.
