At my last job, I posted about how easy the app process was on a public forum. I got called in to HR bc they wanted to make sure I wasn't given preference for being white. My boss got shite for hiring the most qualified candidate.

I think it's an economic privilege not race. That can be any race. Kids with two parents who have college educations and nice paying jobs have a better shot than the black kid from the ghetto, or the white kid from the trailer park.
