Dallas is pretty close but I don’t think it is on Atlanta’s level. Now Houston may be. Maybe I have just only been to the nice parts of Dallas. Are the bad parts like Houston?

South Dallas is as ghetto as it gets, but in Dallas you basically draw a horizontal line through the center and everything north is fine. That’s different from Houston where ghetto runs next to really nice/gentrified

Texans originally did come from Britain. I did not mean to imply they came straight from Britain, but I mean Texans and southerners have common ancestors (brits, and other southerners) I would guarantee I am related to people on this board from my family that came from Virginia, Georgia, Carolinas, etc which is pretty cool. Unfortunately many Texans are also Yankees though

My girlfriends mothers family is all from there too, she went to Memorial when it first opened and it was the new nice school. Now sharyland is the nice school right? That’s where my girlfriends cousins went.

I have only been in the park cities and Jesuit area. What you said about Houston having ghettos all over is definitely what I was thinking. Since Dallas is super bad too, I think I would rather stay in San Antonio. Everybody here shits on it but it’s a lot safer...

I was a hardcore libertarian too, then I looked around and saw the direction our country was headed. Boomers sold the country out from under us, America will never be the same country again, and it’s all due to cheap labor.
