Eeeh I think he has a point
A lot of (somewhat) high earners love to dismiss real high earners with nice things as living off of credit or inheritance

shite I’m just shooting deer and grinding it up myself at this point.
But a Boston butt and grind it up 50/50 with venison.
Can’t hardly tell a difference in that and beef

Well that’s certainly true, but there really hasn’t been that in this thread.
The dude is clearly insecure as shite… and in this case, he’s the somewhat high earner

Correct. It's also how the OP and others cope with their level of success or lack there of. Frankly I don't care about how or why people live how they choose to live.

You're in no position to call anyone on this board insecure. However, I'd rather drive framing nails into my balls than engage in conversation with you.

You dress up in spray tan and underwear for other men to judge you.
And somehow, even worse, wreak of new money insecurity

Why is everyone giving you shite this time? What did you do?
Posted on 12/8/25 at 2:49 pm to Mingo Was His NameO
You saying the same shite over and over, doesn't make it so.
Your obsession with being a douchebag is odd.

I can say this though, if you don't have car payments, all the rest is much easier.
I live 2.8 miles from work and usually drive 200-300 miles/month. I can't justify a $800-$1,000 car note and another $150 in insurance for that, so I drive a 20 year old truck. Gets me where I'm going fine and allows me to save and invest. New vehicles are just barely ahead of hookers and blow in terms of quality investments.

Louisiana is the 2nd highest state for credit card delinquency. Mississippi is #1 and Alabama is #3.

If you haven't tried mixing your deer meat with 15-20% beef fat, your missing out. The butcher by the house will sell me beef fat trimming for 50-60 cents a lb.

The only reason this isn’t true is because they can use credit. And if they’ve already maxed their current credit, they can just go get more

I feel poor on TD. The OT is all about people’s first world problems
Travel board is people debating 14 vs 21 days in Europe and Asia.
The Music board is comparing where you went in the world to see your favorite band and how you had front row seats.
And I’m over here stressing about saving enough for college for my kids and how to buy one a car
And by relative, I mean when the relative in your last sentence is gone then you can send that same relative a postcard from the place you mention in sentences three and four.

The thing that is just KILLIN me is health insurance. I’m paying $3,000+ a month for health insurance for my family with a fricking $12,000 a year deductible. This shite is criminal!!!!!!

A lot of people can’t cash flow $400 without consumer debt. Your net worth doesn’t create cash flow if it’s all illiquid.
You should try being realistic. Boomers aren’t going to sell their paid for home to pay for car repairs, but they often dont have the cash flow to really pay them either.
This is of course a generalization so don’t go full autistic mushroom man
