It's not their fault. Directv wants to give customers choice of buying 1 of 5 Disney products. Disney saying you'll buy all of it or get none of it. It's Directv now, but other providers will have their day. To hell with Disney.

We switched over last summer when we were watching some UK basketball stuff on YouTubeTV’s free trial that wasn’t on a channel DirecTV carried.

It’s so much better. Truly.

May cancel too.

Just got notification of a rate increase for my next month—.while I can’t watch any college football of it’s not OTA. Insane.I am quite sympathetic to DirectTV’s fight against Disney. Patient even, because I hope they stick it to Disney.

But passing on a rate increase in the middle of it? Dumb. What a way to waste any good will you had.

Saw DTV was providing $30 credits if you signed up for Sling Orange, who cut it's price to $30.

Sounds like the providers are working together on this fight against Disney. They know they're next.

Signed up for the free trial on YouTube TV. Not impressed at all with the selection. Direct Stream is the best service. Hope they figure this shite out soon. Figure I can get enough free trials to last 4-5 weeks and keep watching college football. Disney is trying to make providers pay for a bunch of programming that nobody wants. That's the reason for the blackout. Other providers will be facing the same challenges soon.

That's what it's going to take. Providers banding together against Disney to have any chance or other companies getting broadcast rights. One small problem though is Disney owns Hulu so they'll probably say screw everyone else and just put ESPN on Hulu live

I signed up for the 3 week free trial with YouTube TV. Couldn't get the USC game on DTV Stream. The local ABC affiliate in Tampa is blocked. Really sucks because Disney doesn't own the station, just the national content.

It's bizzarro. Someone in their marketing dept needs to be processed out. Your customers have never had a better incentive to leave... then you raise prices on them.

I did not get that email but I've only had DTV Stream for 3 months, so who knows.

I have DTV Stream because it has the exact lineup of stations I want. YTTV is missing a couple here, Fubo a couple there. DTV Stream has everything I want and it was a huge cost savings when I cut cable. Is it the cheapest? No, but it gave me everything I wanted, until Disney held them hostage.

You all should be rooting for DTV in this battle because it's coming to the other carriers next.

It has been awhile, but the Dishnetwork tried to hold firm with some large media company. I can’t remember what happened. I think that was before streaming became so easy and with so many choices.

For me Direct TV is my source for internet at that house and can’t get rid of it. When I can get rid of it I probably will.
